Imsouane, the village of the endless wave

Imsouane after the 2024 demolitions
In January 2024, Imsouane was hit by a nationwide operation to “free up the maritime public domain”. Residents were ordered to leave on 17 January, and the bulldozers arrived within 48 hours. Homes and businesses were demolished in three areas: Tasblast, one of the oldest quarters, opposite Cathedral Point; the central square and its alleys (grocery stores, bakery, cafés, restaurants); and the part overlooking the bay. The village has been rebuilding little by little since then: many surf camps, hotels and hostels are open, and new restaurants are opening. How to choose your surf camp in Imsouane
What a package includes
- Accommodation: dorm, double room or private room, often with a sea-view rooftop.
- Meals: at least breakfast and dinner, often all 3 meals with lunch on the beach.
