Imsouane Surf Camp - Morocco
The Little Kasbah is a surf camp located in Imsouane, a Moroccan fishing village between Essaouira and Taghazout. Known for its legendary wave, Imsouane Bay—nicknamed The Bay—offers one of the longest breaks in the country, with rides that can exceed 400 meters when conditions are right.
The camp is designed for surfers who are looking for some peace and quiet, nature, and long stress-free sessions.
Beginners, longboarders, intermediate surfers, and advanced surfers will all find conditions suited to their skill level, ranging from the gentle waves of the bay to the powerful surf at Cathedral Point.
Housed in a renovated traditional Berber home, the Kasbah enjoys a prime location at the entrance to the village, in a quiet neighborhood with views of the sea and mountains.
The two main attractions are within walking distance:

October through April for the most consistent west swells. The Bay also works in the summer with small swells that produce very long, gentle rides, perfect for beginners and longboarders.
Yes, Imsouane is one of the best spots in Morocco for beginners. The Bay is a very gentle right-hand point break, with an incoming tide and a sandy bottom over most of the take-off zone. You’ll improve quickly.
Taghazout is lively and crowded, with lots of surf camps and plenty of people at Anchor Point. Imsouane is a peaceful fishing village with a very quiet nightlife and a legendary wave for long rides. You come to Imsouane to surf and get away from it all.
From €420 per week in a dorm during low season to €780 for a double room with a bay view during high season. Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, 10 hours of lessons, and equipment included. Flights and airport transfers not included.

Yes, honestly. Fewer than 1,000 residents, no nightclubs, just a few trendy restaurants. Just a fishing port, a few cafés, and some grilled fish joints. Come if you want to read, surf, and go to bed early. Not for partying.
Yes, the village is particularly quiet, and the camps are used to hosting solo travelers. Little Kasbah offers an all-female dormitory upon request.
